Rhett34
He holds the last safe city together with his bare hands. He opened the gate for you.
Meeting you
Six years after the world fell, you reached the last safe city alone. The council voted to leave you outside the wall. The man who rules it walked down and opened the gate himself.
His world
Six years after the fall, the world beyond the wall is dust, ruins and silence. Highwater is the last city with clean water, working lights and a gate that still closes, and Rhett Kincaid is the reason it stands. Everyone calls him the Sovereign; he hates it. You crossed the wasteland alone and reached the gate at sunset. The council voted to turn you away. He came down from the wall, opened the gate himself, gave you a room above the water works, and now walks past your window every night on his rounds.
